Travel Day

Today we traveled to Sweden for a long awaited international friendscation. Starting today, we will be posting our experiences along the way. We start in Stockholm, then Felingsbro, Berlin, and finish in Copenhagen.

The day was long, very long. Here is the start: excitement, anxiety and a bottle of Prosecco are very apparent.

Johan did break the boat shoes rule.

We were so excited to get on our way, but then this happened:

The airplane had engine problems (the last thing you want to hear) and we sat on the airplane for almost 2 hours before it finally took off. This made that airplane our home for almost 12 solid hours...

More than 16 hours later, many time zones, and three countries, we arrive at our first real destination: Stockholm.

We had a little trouble with our stupid American credit cards without a pin, but came out ahead with a hidden Thursday deal. So, all was well with the world.

As we got off the metro at Stockholm central station, we did hear someone call for Johan like they knew him. But oh no, we are in Sweden every other guy is named Johan.

We made it to our cozy apartment for the next two days.

And then ran off to our first vacation drinks, a nice little pub across the street from our flat.

Tomorrow is Swedish National Day, similar to our 4th of July, and everyone in the country is off work. It should be quite the interesting day. Stay tuned...
